Portrait Photography

I charge £75 for a portrait photography session. This usually takes about an hour, but if it's a large group of people or young children are involved then I am happy to spend more time with you so that we can get the shots you want. I can take your photograph in a studio setting or at a location of your choice, indoors or outdoors.

After the session I will send you electronic proofs of the best images and you can select which photographs you would like to buy, in what format and at what size. See the prints page for more information.

Studio Portraits

Currently I use Bowerhill Village Hall in the Wiltshire town of Melksham as my studio. It is a modern, bright and spacious building with its own car park.

I have a wireless studio lighting system and portable background and floor coverings, enabling me to turn almost any space into a photographic studio. If it would be easier for you to have a studio portrait session in the comfort of your own home then this may be possible.

Location Portraits

Location portraits make a great alternative to studio shots. We agree a time and place to meet and photograph your group in the great outdoors (weather permitting).

The shoot can take place in a single location or we can go for a photo walk. Location portraits can be posed or I can capture your group as you enjoy each other's company.

Almost every location offers opportunities for creative photography. If you're looking for something a bit different, a location portrait may well be for you.

Baby Portraits

Baby portraits are best taken at home where you can control the environment and ensure that your baby is warm, comfortable and most likely to smile!

I put my flashguns in soft boxes that diffuse the flash, softening the light so that it is gentle on baby's eyes and won't lead to tears. Babies often have their own schedule and getting the shot can mean waiting until he or she is ready and I am happy to do just that. I want your photo shoot to be fun not frustrating.
